The venue is very cool, a hidden gem and perfect for my birthday party! Numma the manager was responsive to any queries and very helpful. The staff on the door and the bar were great. We had a fantastic evening. We brought our own food and could use the kitchen which was very useful. My guests loved the venue, it is very unexpected when you walk through the door!
It is not really set up for a live band, we had thought it was but discovered a week before the party that was not the case. We brought some equipment ourselves to enable our band to sound good, this included a mixing desk and speakers. For the first hour of the party the staff were struggling to play my playlist in the bar upstairs, I had been told this was easy! My playlist was playing downstairs but not upstairs, I was beginning to feel annoyed by this but they did sort it out and all went well for the rest of the evening. There is a cloakroom charge which I agreed to pay upfront for my guests, I got a slightly reduced charge per person but they wanted cash......I found that a bit underhand.

The venue and staff were brilliant, they were super accommodating and we had such an amazing night. Great set up for a private party, and the downstairs sound system was great. Highly recommend!

The staff was very attentive and lovely. The booking process was really simple. Simon gave us a tour and was very friendly. Everything was perfect and I would definitely use the venue again.
I would say the downstairs needs some sort of ac system as it got very hot.

Bonkers Bar is a Trusted Tagvenue Partner, validated by the Tagvenue team with a record of successful bookings on the platform.

Bonkers Bar is a new immersive cocktail bar and experience located in Dalston. Heavily influenced by a famous Roald Dahl novel and 1970's psychedelia, Bonkers Bar has created an absurd world of performance, cocktails and live music.

Organising a live music event? Christmas Party? Birthday? Bonkers Bar is available to hire for your private event. Since our opening in October 2021 we have hosted DJs, bands, live performance, cabaret, filming, burlesque, birthdays and much much more!

Our space is spread across two levels with dance floor, DJ booth, seating area and bar complete with full bespoke cocktail menu. We have a state of the art void air motion sound system, a 150 person capacity and are able to stay open till late. There is dimmable ambient lighting throughout, fully controllable uplighting, stage lighting and air conditioning throughout the space.

We have a fully functional kitchen and food prep area. This is an ideal space for all types of event. We pride ourselves on the versatility and uniqueness of Bonkers Bar.
