About Empire Film Studio
Tucked away in East London’s Acton Mews, Empire Film Studios offers a seriously unique space that’s perfect for creative projects and events alike. The main area is a spacious, double-height sub-basement with proper blackout capabilities, so you’ve got full control over the lighting — ideal for filming or events. It’s a bit of a time capsule too, with original Victorian features like exposed brick walls, a concrete floor, remnants of an old boiler room, and even a disused lift shaft and hole in the wall, giving the space plenty of character. Beyond the main studio, there’s extra room set aside for catering, makeup and dressing, plus a dedicated desk area for computer work or prep.
