About this space

The Glass Garden is our city-view conservatory at the back of our restaurant. We use this for casual restaurant dining, however it can also be booked out for a variety of private events, including birthdays, corporate.

The Glass Garden area can accommodate up to 32 people for a sit-down meal, or up to 80 people comfortably for a reception.

Hoti was a great coordinator of events. Everything ran smoothly, and he worked very well with me, especially in the planning process. He provided valuable advice on how to utilise the deposit/minimum spend. He was also very accommodating in terms of flexibility regarding when to serve the food. The staff was also great and very accommodating. The venue itself is gorgeous. The overhead glass ceiling brought in great light - especially during the summer time. We also had a speaker and microphone to use if we wanted to. The venue is partially decorated, so there isn't much needed to make the place look nice. The food also tasted really good. Overall, great space and a great team to work with. I had a great time!
The area can get very hot, especially with the number of people and the heat from keeping the buffet warm. The side door can be opened, but it is still hot. It would be worth getting an air conditioning machine or something. It would also be nice to dim the lights a little bit, but not crazy. The place is relatively expensive, so bear in mind when having to reach a minimum spend of £1.2K.

About Glass Garden

Glass Garden is a Chinese restaurant with six different event spaces for private hire. The venue offers a mix of indoor and semi-outdoor spaces designed for group dining, parties, and business events. Located on Southwark Street, it also has easy access to nearby transport.

At Glass Garden, we cook the traditional way – in clay. Our clay pot dishes are slow-cooked to lock in moisture and deepen every flavour, creating meals that are rich, tender, and full of character.
