About this space

Kemble House is a warehouse photography studio and event space in Forest Hill, south east London. Because many of our clients are food and drink brands and publishers, Kemble House has a beautiful, fully equipped kitchen, with a Smeg double range cooker and Smeg fridge, plus an induction hob on a large island. There is a large oak table with room for 8-10 people to dine or work, but this can be dismantled if you prefer completely empty floor space.

Alternatively, we can also provide more tables and seating for up to 18 people (there is room for 36 people to dine, but with extra hired seating). Kemble House measures 700 square feet with a wall of first floor north-facing daylight windows. It has a small bathroom, a parking space, plus free parking on adjacent streets, and high-speed fibre broadband. We have a Cambo stand and a collection of props, glassware and cutlery which you are welcome to use for shoots, plus a separate collection of crockery and glasses for general/event use. Kemble House is on the first floor and is accessed by an external staircase and double doors.

Please contact us to discuss booking dates and times - the calendar here does not show the studio's live availability so please do ask us about dates via message before trying to book a particular date. (Your hire is not confirmed until we accept your booking.) We do offer longer days than our standard 8 hour day, and your event can run into the evening providing it is over by 11pm. We always recommend you do a recce before hiring the space for an event.

FAQ

The hire includes tables and chairs, with dark grey base cloths covering all tables to protect them and provide a more uniform look because the furniture is mismatched and some pieces are vintage. Seating is a mixture of chairs and benches, and the hire also includes full use of the kitchen and its equipment, including the fridge and range cooker, plus a free parking space.

Yes. There is a Bluetooth speaker available to use at the venue.

No, there are no restrictions on music in general. Karaoke is fine, but hirers need to provide their own set-up.
