About this space

Courtyard Retreat Marquees is an Outdoor Space in The Brewery set inside an enclosed 18th-century brick courtyard, providing a sheltered outdoor area framed by the building's original architecture.

Design: The courtyard is flanked by tall 18th-century brick facades and black metal-framed windows, producing a compact, enclosed proportion. The finish pairs industrial metalwork, potted greenery and overhead festoon lighting for an urban outdoor room.

Features: The space includes outdoor Wi‑Fi, natural daylight and wheelchair access via a ramp. The layout is furnished with freestanding tables, high cocktail surfaces, parasols and planted screens, and the venue team handle on-site setup and day-of support.

Ideal for: Corporate teams or social groups seeking a relaxed, social standing reception or mingling-style gathering in an intimate, sheltered outdoor courtyard.

What sets it apart: A row of raised timber marquees runs along the courtyard to form semi-enclosed seating zones that create sheltered, distinct outdoor areas.

What guests say: The courtyard is pleasant for outdoor drinks and provides good natural light and character. The on-site team are welcoming and helpful.
