THE LIBRARY
Conway Hall is the oldest surviving freethought organisation in the world and our library holds the largest and most comprehensive humanist research resource in the UK.
Surrounded by books and historic features, you will find this a truly inspiring and peaceful space to exchange your vows.
The Library is beautifully decorated with portraits from the Ethical Society’s rich history, as well as having floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Red Lion Square, that fill the space with warm, natural light.

MAIN HALL
The impressive period hall with original wood paneling is the perfect location for your wedding reception.
If you are planning to include live music in your celebrations then you will be pleased to know that the main hall is internationally renowned for its excellent acoustics.
The space is also famous for hosting the longest run of classical concerts in the UK, jazz concerts from the 1930s to the 1960s, and has also hosted countless famous speakers, such as George Orwell, and historic events, including the conference
of doctors that led to the founding of the NHS

We’ve named our wedding packages after some of the interesting characters associated with Conway Hall:
ROSE BUSH
An Ethical Society member for over 50 years and co-founder of the Humanist Housing Association.
MUDDY WATERS
The legendary American Blues guitarist, who played at Conway Hall in 1958 during his UK tour.
ELIZA FLOWER
Radical female composer who worked at South Place Chapel, the Ethical Society’s precursor to Conway Hall.

We work with a wonderful group of preferred suppliers. All have great ethical credentials, which is obviously of upmost importance to us, being an Ethical Society.
Wooley’s • Providing healthy food since 1988, they continue to develop menus that boast freshness, quality and great taste. They’re also located right next door.
Penni Black • Ethical sourcing, recycling and upcycling is at the heart of everything that they do, and so is amazing food.
Fat Macy’s • We love that they’re a social enterprise company, and we also love their amazing menus that change seasonally and incorporate new recipes from the trainee chefs.
Social Pantry • They’re determined to make a difference whilst still delivering extraordinary events, extraordinary service & extraordinary food. Sounds good to us!
Eden • Regarded as one of the UK’s most sustainable caterers, providing fresh, seasonal and delicious food around central London since 1993.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Totals less than £750.00:

- For cancellation more than 61 days prior to the date of the event: No charge
- For cancellation between 31 days and 60 days prior to the date of the event: 50% of the total cost will be charged.
- For cancellation between 1 day and 30 days prior to the date of the event: 100% of the total cost will be charged.

Totals more than £750.00:

- For cancellation of more than 181 days prior to the date of the event: No charge
- For cancellation between 91 and 180 days prior to the date of the event: 50% of the total cost will be charged.
- For cancellation between 1 and 90 days prior to the date of the event: 100% of the total cost will be charged.

About Conway Hall

A unique venue in an unrivaled central London location, minutes from Holborn Underground Station. Built in 1929, Grade II-listed Conway Hall is a landmark of London’s independent intellectual and cultural life. The venue seats from 2 – 400 attendees in a variety of styles.

The Main Hall retains its period features and is internationally renowned for its excellent acoustics. Six other rooms with capacities of 16 to 70 make Conway Hall suitable for a wide range of events, including exams, lectures, conferences, and drinks receptions.
