About this space

A compact urban nature reserve created from a former coal yard, characterised by meadow and small woodland habitats and a focus on managed urban wildlife.

Design: A small, inward-facing green pocket of native planting, reed margins, meadow and wooded copses; paths are narrow and the built elements are low-rise and utilitarian, giving an intimate scale.

Features: A modest visitor centre houses a covered café with indoor and outdoor seating, public toilets and a hireable large room suitable for courses and workshops. The hire space benefits from natural light and air conditioning. The site provides Wi‑Fi, accessible toilets, step‑free guest access and permission for hosts to play their own music or bring a DJ; a cleared area can be used as a dancefloor.

Host rules

We kindly ask guests to respect their surroundings at Camley Street Natural Park as we are based on a unique nature reserve. Our volunteers work hard to protect the conservation and wildlife onsite and we ask guests to remain on the paths.
Live Music and DJs are permitted and must adhere to a 85 db sound limit and not include amplified instruments or drums in their set up.
Music must be located inside the venue after 21:00 to respect surrounding wildlife and neighbours.
All catering must be confirmed by our list of approved suppliers and we will provide the bar service for you.

Everyone was absolutely amazing, kind, collaborative, helpful and efficient. Albert, the security guard, was extremely patient and caring, making sure everyone is safe and looked after from beginning until the end. The food was delicious as well! highly recommend.

FAQ

Yes, the minimum bar spend can be covered through a pre-paid drinks tab or guest purchases at the bar. It is not an additional charge on top of the drinks consumed.

Yes, external DJs may be booked. All music must be played below 85 decibels inside the Kingfisher Suite, and external DJs not from the supplier list must provide public liability documents and PAT-tested equipment.

The usual set-up includes banquet-style rows under the Canopy, with music and dancing taking place in the Kingfisher Suite.
