About this space

Mandela Space is an event space in The Africa Centre. The room functions as an adaptable gallery-style area with a neutral floorplate.

Design: The room features deep matte-painted walls arranged around large monochrome image panels, a smooth polished concrete floor and a low ceiling with exposed services. The overall effect is restrained and focused, directing attention to wall-mounted work.

Features: The space includes adjustable track lighting, a PA system and speakers, and venue Wi‑Fi. The layout uses freestanding partition walls to create configurable zones. The room also has air conditioning, wheelchair access and accessible toilets, and the PA system permits external music to be played.
