Space features
The Function Room is a private room in The Beehive characterised by its wood-panelled walls and vintage pub furnishings that give it a traditional tavern character.
Design: The interior pairs a low-beamed ceiling and hardwood floor with a mix of leather sofas, armchairs and upright dining chairs, creating a layered, informal layout. The lighting comes from wall sconces and globe fixtures that cast a warm, amber tone across the space.
Features: The room provides Wi‑Fi, air conditioning and wheelchair access. The furniture is movable, allowing hosts to arrange clusters of tables for dining or open floor space for mingling. The space connects directly to the main pub areas for easy service flow.
Ideal for: Friend groups and community clubs seeking a relaxed, social setting for seated meals or informal standing receptions.
What sets it apart: A ceiling-mounted projector and integrated AV provide in-room screening and presentation capability for events and broadcasts.
What guests say: The space has slightly worn, characterful seating that contributes to its pub charm. The room has multiple screens and a sports-friendly feel on match days.
