About this space

Our gorgeous function room is tucked away on the left-hand side of our glorious garden, with bi-fold doors that fully open out onto the patio. This gives your private party exclusive use of the garden tables and outdoor seating under the pergola, all included in the room hire. A fully operational private bar is on hand, along with a pergola canopy that provides full shelter (A minimum spend will apply). On windier or wetter days, the sides of the pergola can be fully enclosed, allowing the patio space to be comfortably enjoyed in all weathers.

You’re free to set the vibe using your own device to play the music you love, and you can even choose which beers you’d like available on tap.

The function room and fully sheltered patio are best suited to intimate gatherings, with a standing capacity of up to 40 guests. On warm, sunny days, numbers can increase to up to 60 guests by spilling out into the main pub garden, although please note this additional space is not fully sheltered.

It’s the perfect setting for small birthday parties, drink-led celebrations, summer soirées, or company drinks — offering a private bar experience while still enjoying all the buzz and atmosphere of the pub.

Mo the manager was incredible helpful and accommodating. Our numbers kept changing due to covid issues and he was brilliant at helping us modify the booking. The team were great on the evening as well and couldn’t do enough for us.
The food was pretty poor, especially for the price. I paid £380 for what was really some plastic baskets of mostly fried food. I tried to supplement it with 3 big bowls of salad (worth £27) to add something fresh and one plate of salad came out fifteen minutes after everything else when people had already taken food, without anything to serve or eat it with. Most of the items were tasty… but not all. The halloumi fries and onion rings (that I didn’t order but were given instead of something else without consultation) were pale and not crispy- none of my guests touched either of these and I wasn’t surprised. This venue would be great for an event focusing on drinking with a few nibbles only
