An official Focusrite partner studio in Wapping, East London: a fully sound-treated, isolated music production and recording room, five minutes' walk from Wapping Overground.

Everything is wired and tested before you arrive. Bring a laptop and start. The rig is a Focusrite Scarlett 18i16 interface, two ADAM Audio A77H studio monitors, a Novation 61SL MkIII MIDI keyboard, a Novation Circuit Rhythm groovebox and a RODE NT-USB microphone for vocals and voiceover. No setup time, no patching, no wasted hours.

Full professional acoustic panelling on walls and ceiling, isolated from the rest of the building, so vocals and spoken word record clean and you can monitor at level without disturbing anyone. Atmospheric purple and blue lighting adjusts to a warmer tone for podcast work, and there is a large display for visuals and playback plus comfortable seating for guests and co-hosts, so audio and video come out of the same session.

Booked for writing, tracking, vocals, mixing and mastering, podcast recording, livestreams, spoken word and music content.

50 GBP per hour excluding VAT, one-hour minimum. The DJ room next door is 35 GBP per hour, or take both rooms of The Portal together for 70 GBP per hour. Power, cleaning, studio operations and kitchen access with complimentary tea and coffee are included in every booking, with no equipment or facility fees added.

A 24-hour premises licence covers late-night and early-morning sessions when a release deadline demands it. Ground-floor load-in, street parking nearby, Wapping Overground five minutes away and Shadwell DLR seven.

Pair it with the Infinity Cove or the Blackout Studio in the same building and shoot the visuals on the same day.
