About this space
Blackfriars Concert Hall is a setting for concerts, ceremonies, talks, seminars, receptions, and cultural events. Housed within a Baroque church, the venue combines the original architecture with a practical layout.
The main nave provides approximately 66 sq m of event space and holds up to 125 guests seated. Original fixed pews create an auditorium-style arrangement, suited to concerts, lectures, recitals, presentations, and formal ceremonies. To preserve the historic character of the building, the layout, pews, and altar remain in their existing positions and cannot be altered.
Guests enter through an entrance hall of approximately 21 sq m, with one main entrance and two additional access points through the surrounding garden areas. Front and side outdoor spaces are included in the venue hire, providing areas for guest arrivals, intervals, photography, and receptions.
The venue features a Yamaha grand piano available on request, strong natural acoustics, and a wall and ceiling lighting system. AV power connections are available across the nave.
Additional facilities include a kitchenette, storage room, and access for external caterers.
Please note that the venue is accessed via entrance steps and is therefore not fully accessible. The church is available for venue hire until 2028, after which a major renovation programme is planned.

• Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the concert hall and building
• Please leave the space as you found it, otherwise a cleaning fee may be issued after the event
• Do not nail anything on walls or permanently damage the property. Fines may be pursued as it is a historical building
