About this space

A stunning space for conferences, meetings, wedding receptions and parties (with space for a bouncy castle!). The high ceiling and original features provide an immediate wow factor and the room can accommodate up to 110 people.

The adjoining Small Hall with its hatch, gives easy access to our professional Kitchen. Plenty of folding tables and chairs are available.

Please note we do not hire on Sundays nor past 11pm in consideration of our neighbours. Thanks!

We don't hire on a Sunday as we are doing church stuff! Regret that teenage parties are not permitted. Loud music needs to be turned off from 10.30pm and all out by 11pm to respect the neighbours. We are OK with alcohol being brought and consumed on the premises, you'd need to apply for a licence to sell alcohol.

Our venue is very popular on Saturday afternoons and evenings so you'd need to book early - we do occasionally have short notice cancellations.

We ask hirers to arrange their own setting up and clearing down so the halls are left as found. you'd need to take away your own rubbish too please as we don't have facilities on site.

FAQ

Are DJs allowed at the venue?

Yes, DJs are allowed, but the hall's speakers should not be used as they are over 40 years old. Most people bring their own system.

Can a phone be connected to the hall sound system?

No, the sound system will not work from a phone. A wireless speaker would be a better option.

Can we have a bouncy castle at the venue?

Yes, a bouncy castle is fine. The venue uses Kingies because they know the hall, but you can choose your own supplier.

Will the venue staff put out the tables?

The church volunteers who open and close the halls are generally over 70, and hirers' friends and helpers are generally asked to set up the room in their preferred layout. The allocated volunteers may not be able to put out all the tables, so people usually bring a couple of strong people with them. Hirers must also take the rubbish away.

Does the hall have air conditioning or fans?

The hall has four electric fans but no air conditioning. The halls are generally cooler than outside because of their age, height and thick walls, and opening the doors and windows can create a cool draught.
