About this space

The Main Room is a bright, adaptable space designed for events, activities and workshops. It can be easily configured to suit a wide range of uses, from talks, training sessions, and creative workshops to community meetings and pop-ups.

Modular furniture and an open layout make it easy to adapt the set up. The room has a welcoming, natural flow, and a layout that works equally well for small groups or larger audiences.

It’s designed to support interaction, participation, and connection rather than feeling formal or restrictive.

The upCYCLE LDN Hub is a new community space in the heart of Brixton, available to hire for events, workshops, classes, meetings and more. Every booking directly funds the programmes that sit at the heart of what we do, getting more bikes into the hands of people who need them, running community repair workshops, and building skills and confidence through cycling. When you hire with us, you're helping keep our work going.

The space is located in a residential area, so we ask that noise levels are kept to a reasonable level at all times, particularly in the evenings and at weekends when neighbouring residents are more likely to be at home. Music and amplified sound may be restricted depending on the day and time of booking.

Firstly, the pictures don’t do this venue justice! I recently hosted a workshop here and was genuinely impressed from the moment I arrived. The space is minimalistic, modern, and beautifully designed, while still feeling welcoming and functional. It's also much more spacious than the photos suggest, making it the perfect setting for creative workshops, community events, and collaborative sessions. The facilities were excellent, and accessibility was a real highlight. One of our guests was a wheelchair user and had absolutely no issues entering the venue or using the toilet facilities. It was reassuring to see a space that had clearly considered accessibility and inclusivity. The workshop ran smoothly, and many of the attendees commented on how much they liked the venue. Several people even asked for details afterwards because they were interested in booking the space themselves. Behind the scenes, Phil and his team were fantastic to work with. Communication was quick, clear and responsive throughout, and they were incredibly supportive, flexible, and trusting. Everything was well organised, with clear instructions provided ahead of the event, making the whole experience stress-free from start to finish. As someone running a free workshop, I particularly appreciated that the venue is both affordable and community-led. Spaces like this make it possible to bring people together without huge costs, which is something I really value. I will definitely be booking again and would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a modern, accessible, affordable, and community-focused space 💚
