DEFECTED Studio, located in the heart of Shoreditch, is a purpose built creative space focused on modern, in the box production, recording, and mixing workflows. The studio is designed for a smooth, efficient process, allowing for low latency tracking, real time processing, and an easy transition between recording and mixing.
The monitoring environment is tuned for accuracy and clear stereo imaging, with flexible referencing to help ensure mixes translate well across different systems.
A dedicated vocal booth provides an acoustically controlled space for high quality recording, suited to a wide range of vocal and instrumental performances.
The studio also integrates select analogue processing within a hybrid workflow, adding harmonic depth, control, and character while maintaining the flexibility of a digital setup.
Production and sound design are supported through a versatile setup that encourages experimentation, allowing ideas to develop quickly into polished, mix ready material.
Studio 1 offers a high end, private, and comfortable environment built to support the full creative process, with a strong focus on workflow, sonic accuracy, and artistic expression.

By booking Defected's Studio, the Client agrees to comply with all terms and conditions set out in the Defected Recording Studio Hire Agreement dated 11th June 2026, and warrants that they have read, understood, and agree to the Fire Safety Policy & Emergency Procedures dated 16th June 2026. These will be provided upon enquiry or booking.
The Client is responsible for the conduct of all members of their party. The Studio operates a zero-tolerance policy with respect to:
• Verbal or physical abuse, intimidation, or sexual harassment of Studio staff, employees or third parties on the premises;
• Possession, use, or supply of illegal substances on the premises;
• Attendance at or use of the Studio while intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol or drugs to an extent that may impair judgement, safety, performance, or cause disruption or risk to persons or property;
• Smoking (including vaping and e-cigarettes) anywhere within the Studio or building;
• Damage to equipment, fixtures, fittings, or any part of the premises;
• Any activity in breach of applicable law or regulation;
• Food, beverage or spillage on the Studio equipment;
• Any mishandling or movement of fire safety equipment for improper use, such as using fire extinguishers or equipment to prop open doors;
• Any mess left or rubbish created by the Client. Client must dispose of all rubbish in the designated bins and leave the studio space as it was found.
Any breach of this clause entitles the Studio to terminate the Session immediately require the Client and their party to leave the premises, and retain all fees paid, without prejudice to any other rights or remedies available to the Studio.
Where the Studio is required to carry out additional cleaning or waste removal as a result of the Client’s use of the Studio, the Client shall be liable for a reasonable cleaning fee, payable on demand.
Cancellation policy: Flexible with Grace Period
