Looking for a space where the vibes are always high and the party basically runs itself? Welcome to The Rooftop at onesixone - Chapel Street’s worst-kept secret for birthdays, corporate shindigs, and any excuse to celebrate.

With room for up to 100 of your favourite people, this spot has everything you need to throw a party worth bragging about: a dedicated dance floor, a state of the art DJ booth and sound system, and a cocktail bar with the industries best bartenders who knows their way around a shaker. Rain trying to gatecrash? No worries, the retractable awnings have you covered (literally). Winter chill? We’ll turn on the heaters. Summer scorchers? We’ve got cooling for that too.

The Rooftop is completely self-contained, with private bathrooms and smoking permitted in the space, so your guests won’t vanish halfway through the night. You’re in your own little world up there. Just you, your crew, and the music perched above the iconic Chapel Street.

From balmy afternoon kick-offs to late-night dance marathons, The Rooftop is the kind of place where stories start… and maybe even finish.

Whole process was pain free from booking through to the actual night. Staff and security were friendly and accomodating. Venue is awesome, you don’t need to add many decorations as it’s already such a fun space. We had the best night and would definitely have another function there!
No dislikes - only thing to note is there is no elevators. The oldies were still determined to get to the rooftop so it had no impact on our night!

Had the best experience with Onesixone hosting a celebration for my 40th and engagement party in their rooftop space. Venue manager Riley was professional, efficient and ensured everything ran smoothly for us without a single hiccup. Huge thanks to Em and Mia for doing ann amazing job on the bar, and a huge thanks to the rest of the team that were around to make this a memorable event for us. Catering from Studio Amaro was also excellent. Highly recommend.

Riley & onesixone were so fantastic to book my birthday party with. Riley was super responsive and took a lot of care on the evening to make sure everything went well. I definitely will be looking to book future events with onesixone.
At no fault of Riley or onesixone, the booked catering not only came 2 hours late but was freezing cold, which definitely affected the night as some of my guests were quite hungry.
