Our second-floor jewel in the crown is the Seamstress Cocktail Bar, evoking memories of a colonial private members club, deep in the east indies hidden away through an Asian laundry or backstreet tailor.
Western empirical style and furnishings scatter about this attic space. Ancient wooden floorboards, winding stairs & colourful hanging cheongsams complete the picture along with the distant smell of incense. Civility is king, jazz and blues play along in the background and ice rattles through a cocktail shaker.
Behind the bar, our bartenders are serving classic mixed drinks, with hand-carved ice along with an ever-changing selection of the best of local and international wines and beers.
We offer knowledgable waiter service throughout the night for recommendations and suggestions and serve a light dinner menu until late each night.

Seamstress Restaurant & Bar opened in 2007 in Melbourne's historic Chinatown district, housed in a 120yr-old former textile factory, warehouse and one-time Buddhist monastery.
We regularly host a variety of parties, events and functions across all 4 floors of our venue.
In the past 6 months alone we have catered for numerous personal gathering for birthdays, farewells & engagements as well as corporate meetings, dinners, networking drinks and team parties.
