Bar staff were helpful, friendly and polite. The venue location was perfect for friends staying in city centre hotels, it’s also a great size with a great atmosphere. I was able to use their laptop for my Spotify and the staff were extra helpful with informing me of the bar tab through the night.
Spotlights on the dance floor were too bright but couldn’t be dimmed.

The staff on the night of the event couldn't have been more helpful. There were a couple of things we forgot to bring (e.g. ping pong balls, aux cable) and they went above and beyond to help us sort those. I also appreciated that we didn't have to go back and tidy up after the event since the venue took care of that.
I found communication after paying the initial deposit quite stressful; I stopped getting replies to my emails and had to call in order to get questions answered/arrangements made (which isn't ideal since the venue is a bar and can't always pick up/doesn't always have the required member of staff in to speak to you). On the day of the event I was also told that the prices of things I had already paid for had increased and the package I bought had been downsized as a result. The venue did end up honouring the price I was originally quoted but I didn't get confirmation of this until I arrived at the event in the evening, and I'm unsure what would have happened if I didn't have the original quotes in writing still.
