FAQs about Top Affordable Wedding Venues in Manchester

The cheapest venues in Manchester are usually bars and restaurants. On Tagvenue you can check out many options that start at a price of as little as £24 per person. There are also many affordable wedding venues that simply charge a fee for an entire day, and you can get these for as little as £288!  As you see, there are many great budget-friendly spaces at your fingertips!

It is said that traditionally the bride’s family pays for most of the cost of the wedding day. However, in this day and age you’ll be sure to encounter both more and less traditional families. If you feel like the costs should be split half-and-half then make sure to go ahead and talk about this before booking any wedding venue - affordable or not! Sometimes it also depends on the financial situation of both families. Ensure to take into consideration other costs like the rehearsal dinner and the honeymoon as well!

If you want to cut costs and you don’t mind what time of year you’ll get married, then make sure to check out prices during the spring months - like March and April - when Manchester’s weather is unpredictable. The same goes for autumn - especially November. During these times, you can be sure to negotiate a discount making your wedding even more cost-efficient!

The good news is that £5000 is still a great wedding budget, which means that you can plan to have a fabulous wedding for quite a small price! As we mentioned before, there are some awesome affordable wedding venues in Manchester, and the space is definitely one of the biggest costs when it comes to weddings! As you continue to split the costs, make sure not to get carried away with the wedding dress costs, get a friendly photographer who is able to fit into your budget, and preferably try doing some DIY for decorations!

How To Find Great Affordable Wedding Reception Venues In Manchester:

  • Head off the beaten path – Some areas of Manchester are more sought after than others when it comes to weddings. Try looking for venues in Manchester’s less popular neighbourhoods
  • Hire the venue off-seasonWinter wedding venue hire rates in Manchester are usually much lower. If you want to stick to getting married in the warmer part of the year, think of hosting your wedding on a day other than Saturday. This can help you save up to 30%.
  • Hire a smaller space – When organising a wedding for 70 people, there’s no point in hiring a venue that’s made to accommodate twice as many guests.
  • Look for special deals – You can find a ton of wedding venues with all-inclusive packages in Manchester. Spaces like Copthorne Hotel Manchester have wedding offers that may include food and drink menus, and decorations. Some spots include entertainment options and, naturally, private hire of the wedding venue.
  • Search for No corkage wedding venues – Drinks make up the lion’s share of wedding costs. Luckily, many wedding venues allow you to bring your own alcohol without any corkage fee.
  • Focus on dry hire venues – This is one of the most convenient options when it comes to cheap wedding venues. Booking a dry hire space like warehouse wedding venues means you only pay for the space. Organising the catering, the decor, the entertainment and other aspects of the event is entirely up to you. This way, you can make your wedding celebration the cheapest!
  • Think outside the box – There are many cheap spaces in Manchester you might not consider for a wedding reception, but it turns out they make fantastic wedding venues without spending a fortune. We’re listing some of our favourites below.

We have booked Oddfellows On The Park as our wedding venue and we couldn't have chosen any better place for our special day. The venue is beautiful, staff very nice. Hayley, the Venue Manager was very helpful with all the paperwork before the wedding and Liam, Events Operation Manager has been absolute star of the night, saving the day with our car hiccup. He's been very professional, the ceremony room and wedding breakfast room were set up really nice, even though we haven't spent fortune for room decorations. Liam dealt with our ceremony songs as well, all timings were perfect. He made us feel all at ease and we enjoyed every second of our wedding. The food was an amazing too. The Chef Ryan has made loads of effort to prepare fantastic looking and delicious meal for our wedding breakfast. We had booked 2 rooms, 1 before the wedding night and then wedding suite. Both of them were beautiful, clean and comfortable. We are very thankful to all at Oddfellows On The Park for an amazing wedding experience.
