With phenomenal rooftop views, outdoor terraces and your own large private bar, our John Rylands Roof Terrace is the largest, and most breath-taking section of our venue. This premium space can accommodate for wedding parties of up to 500 people casual layout and 360 people dining layout.

The space is also Perfect for corporate bookings or grand celebrations, our rooftop terrace is available for hire all year round.

We booked the Goulburn Suite for our Sixth Form Leavers’ Ball and couldn’t have been happier with the venue. The room was absolutely stunning — our blue and gold theme looked incredible against the elegant décor, and the space was large enough for everyone to move around comfortably. The food was a real highlight. At previous balls, catering had been a major issue, so it was something we were particularly concerned about — but this time it was done perfectly. Every dish was delicious, and more importantly, every plate was cleared! The venue catered to a wide range of dietary requirements, including vegan, vegetarian, halal, and allergies, and the alternative meals looked just as appealing as the standard ones. We especially appreciated the flexibility of being able to mix and match courses (e.g. having the vegetarian starter with a non-vegetarian main), which was ideal for those with personal preferences. The facilities were also great — the toilets were spotless and beautifully decorated, perfect for mirror selfies if that’s your thing! The staff were friendly, approachable, and always happy to help. I would 100% recommend this venue for any event — and in fact, I already have. We had such a great time that we barely got any photos.
Everything ran smoothly and these minor points didn’t take away from the evening at all, but towards the end of the night the room did get quite warm; so if you are looking to have an event in the summer, I would inquire about an A/C. Additionally, the bar area felt a little cramped at times, particularly when everyone went to collect their welcome drinks at once, however this wasn't an issue for the rest of the evening.
