About this space

Velvet Brooklyn is as luxurious as the fabric it is named after. With its exposed brick interior, vintage chandeliers, warm lighting and disco ball, it is the perfect space for an intimate event or a memorable celebration. It is 1,500 sq. ft with a maximum capacity of 110 guests.

The interior includes two spacious bar areas, comfortable seating throughout the venue, allowing guests to mingle comfortably. Velvet Brooklyn is an ideal venue for a stylish and fun celebration where guests can dance, enjoy handcrafted cocktails, soak in the vibrant ambience, and share an unforgettable moment with a loved one.

I recently rented out Velvet Brooklyn for a private event, and I can’t recommend this place enough! The venue was absolutely amazing. We had a fantastic time with light appetizers, delicious drinks, and a wide array of alcohol options to please everyone. The location, right next to the iconic Peter Luger Steakhouse, couldn’t have been better. The venue itself has a cool speakeasy vibe, which was perfect for the atmosphere I wanted to create. We had a 100-inch projector screen with a slideshow, and a full DJ setup, which took the event to the next level. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful throughout the entire evening. A special shoutout to the owner, Phil, who was instrumental in making everything come together. He helped me plan every detail and was there on the day of the event to ensure everything ran smoothly. I had around 100 guests from out of state, and Phil made the entire process seamless. Whether you’re planning a private event or just looking for a great spot for cocktails, I highly recommend Velvet Brooklyn. A huge thank you to Phil and his amazing team for making my event such a huge success!
