The Fishing Smack has white plaster walls, original brickwork, sprung flooring and three large windows that let the light do its thing. Walks in feeling welcoming whether it's a client presentation or a birthday - up to 80 guests depending on how the room gets laid out.

Meetings, conferences, training days, birthdays, baby showers, weddings, community events - it gets used for all of these and the space doesn't fight against any of them.

Hire comes with 11 round tables and 18 trestle tables, 120 black chairs and 96 white ones, a Bluetooth speaker, extension leads, LED fairy lights and staging. Kitchen is there for heating, stacking and storing - food comes pre-cooked and gets served from the studio. Chafing dishes and hotplates are fine to bring in, fryers and grills are not. Wifi is fast, staff are on site, parking is free for up to 40 cars on weekdays from 6PM and all weekend. Wheelchair access, accessible toilets, baby changing and a prayer space subject to availability are all on site.

Room runs to 404 sqm, ceilings sit at 3.5 metres, power is 180amp with 63/32amp outlets.

Bringing your own alcohol or pushing past 100 guests adds a £200 surcharge. In-house lunch and refreshments, full setup and clear down, and a mobile bar with a £500 minimum spend are all available as extras.
