About this space

The Gold Drawing Room is beautifully proportioned and richly decorated. It is dominated by magnificent paintings including those of Sir Henry Lee, Champion of Queen Elizabeth I, and his mistress, Anne Vavasour, perhaps the most infamous femme fatale of the period. These last two flank Sir Henry’s third suit of field armour, a masterpiece of the Armourer’s craft and a work of art in its own right.

The room is ideal for lunches, award dinners, receptions, presentations, fashion shows, and meetings.
