About this space

The Elders Voice Hall is the perfect space for children's parties, keep-fit classes, hobby clubs, support groups & educational courses! Currently home to the Elders Voice Day Centre and Wellbeing Activity Programme, the Hall is a much loved and much used space. Flooded with natural light through its south facing windows, and furnished with soft seating, a piano and kitchenette, it is agreed by all to be a warm and welcoming community hub. Adjacent to the Hall is the Green Room, a smaller area with tables and chairs that can be used as a breakout space. The Hall is located next door to Kensal Green Station in a leafy residential area, and is just a seven minute walk to the shops and cafés in Kensal Rise. There is a small car park at the front of the building with space for seven cars, and on-street parking is available on Saturdays. Unfortunately we are unable to host late night parties, as we are a community building based on a residential street and must be mindful of our neighbours. We will however, consider more low key events such as supper clubs, Mehndi parties, book launches etc.

The main Hall measures 10.5m x 6.6m and has a maximum capacity of 50 people standing and 40 people sitting. The Kitchenette measures 3.1m x 3m and the Green Room measures 8.5m x 4.1m. Facilities include a hot water urn, kettle, fridge, microwave, oven, dishwasher, crockery & cutlery, toilets, tables, chairs, sofa, armchairs, piano, disabled access and wi-fi.

- If the building is not cleaned after use, Elders Voice will employ a cleaner and deduct this cost from the deposit.
- In the event of damage to the building and/or contents by the hirer, the hirer will be responsible for the cost of repair/replacement. This cost will be deducted from the deposit.
- Smoking is not permitted inside the building or on the building grounds.
- No alcohol is permitted after 7pm.

FAQ

Can all requested facilities be accommodated?

No, unfortunately, the venue does not have an AV system or projector.

Is support provided with setting up?

No, support with setting up is not provided. Hirers receive their own keys and must open and close the building securely, clean and tidy afterwards, and return the hall to its original layout.

Would you consider hiring out the venue for filming?

No, we don't really have three consecutive days available because of our own activities and other hires during the week. Tuesdays are fully booked, including the evening.

Does the venue provide yoga mats, blankets, or similar comforts?

Yes, the venue provides sixteen yoga mats and blankets for hirers to share, provided they are cared for, returned to the storage cupboard and stored neatly.

Is Wi-Fi available at the venue?

Yes, Wi-Fi is available at the venue.
