The Aqua Restaurant Group is famed for its luxury hospitality concepts which you can find across the globe, from Hong Kong and Dubai to New York and Miami. In London, some of its most well-known outposts include Aqua Shard and Aqua Nueva, just off Oxford Street.

So, it's exciting news, then, that the brand is opening a new restaurant, Azzurra, inspired by 'la dolce aqua' and the idea of bringing Italy's love affair with fresh seafood together with the best sourcing across the British Isles.

The restaurant is helmed by restaurateur David Yeo, who has used his extensive travels across Italy, particularly Sicily and the Amalfi Coast, as inspiration for the menu, focusing on Italian provenance and seasonality. Across the menu, special attention has been paid to methods which naturally elevate flavours using a selection of salts and oils, sourced from Sardinia, Sicily, and up to Tuscany.

Azzurra offers brunch, lunch and dinner, with the former taking place at the weekends with a set menu which includes unlimited anti pasti for the table. Enjoy the likes of seabass tartare with avocado, lime, Giarratana onion and hazelnuts, alongside tomato and mozzarella arancini. Then, guests are invited to choose a main course each, from options such as chicken breast 'panato', garlic and parsley crumb and roasted potato or malloreddus with mussels and prawns.

The a la carte menu is expansive, starting with a selection of crudo such as red mullet, lightly torched and served with bagnetto verde and crusco pepper oil, and scallop with compressed watermelon and olive oil pearls.

Moving on, and you'll find a whole section on risotto with incredible accompaniments like red octopus with chilli, datterini tomato and parsley emulsion, finished with Sardinian extra virgin olive oil Capo Caccia DOP. Fresh catch of the day fish can be enjoyed for a larger main, alongside hearty dishes like grilled 1kg Italian Marango beef t-bone steak.
