Located within the heart of L’oscar lies The Baptist, an impressive structure steeped in history and architectural
significance. Constructed in 1856, The Baptist has a distinctive octagonal shape and boasting a glass-topped dome which was a bold departure from the conventional architectural norms of its time.
As the years passed, The Baptist continued to evolve, adapting to the needs of its growing congregation. In the late 1920s, the church
underwent significant expansion. This transformation saw the addition of a mezzanine level, beneath the iconic dome. The mezzanine features
hand-built elements, including exquisite hand-painted details.
