Venue is super unique and versatile. I hosted my 24th here and just about everyone who attended commented on how cool the vibe was. We used the upstairs area for drinks / gaming / conversations, and downstairs more for dancing. It worked really well and had something for everyone. The lighting for the space is fantastic, and there's even a smoke machine for added ambiance downstairs. The drinks are amazingly priced too (£8 for double spirit mixer + £5.90 for a pint). The staff are fantastic. Special thank you to Paddy, who is super communicative as a host and genuinely wants to put on a great night for you. Some of his WhatsApp messages had me creasing. Rest of the team are really friendly and will try to accommodate all your requests. At no point did they make us feel uncomfortable or awkward for using their space. Really can't sing their praises enough - they make your night better.
As a disclaimer, the following are all me nitpicking. (1) The ceilings downstairs are quite low. If you're 6'3 and over, you'll have to crouch. I had about 6 guests who had this problem but it wasn't that deep in the end. I still caught them dancing with bent knees or playing GTA on the couches. (2) The staircase to the downstairs area are slightly hidden and a little steep. This just meant that I had to direct people a bit at the beginning, and there were a few slip ups. Very minor issue though and didn't really affect the evening overall.

This venue is incredible and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. They really went above and beyond. Everyone had an amazing time and the games were so fun. Thankyou for all of your help team zombie!! We really hope to come back!!

Hire this place!!! 🤩 I spent ages trying to find somewhere to celebrate my 30th birthday that wasn't just another pub or bar, and when I came across this venue I knew it would the best fit! It's got something for everyone. Loads of cool retro video and arcade games as well as lots of board games too - all of which grew in volume from the first time I visited the venue, to when I actually ended up hosting my event. The range of drinks available and food was a huge plus too, and the fact that you can play your own music! You have the option to book just the basement downstairs (which is where we spent most of the time), or the entire space - I did the latter as the space upstairs is so nice and it provided a good break from the games and dancing downstairs for those who wanted a more chill space to catch up. Paddy the owner is FAB and helped so much with the organisation and making sure that we had everything we needed, in the way we wanted. It's the kind of place I'll definitely be back to just hang out in generally 😊

The venue is so unique and right up our alley. We received so many compliments from our guests who said the venue was so fun and different. There was a huge variety of old school games to play, which people played throughout the evening. But most importantly the staff are the loveliest, most accommodating bunch of people. Paddy was so easy to work with and flexible too. His communication was amazing, which is key when planning an event. He was also so kind and asked if there were specific drinks we wanted stocked behind the bar. Additionally the food was so yummy, a lot of our guests came from work so had some dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our DJ had a great time too and found it super easy to connect to the sound system. Honestly overall it was one of the most amazing nights, and we’d highly recommend the Zombie cafe and bar!
