St Stephen Walbrook: A place of celebration
St Stephen Walbrook Church, Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece, has been described as one of the ten most important buildings in England. The main space is crowned by the first dome to be built in the UK (it predates St Paul’s Cathedral).
The interior, which has been beautifully restored & renovated in the latter part of 2024 and into 2025, is focussed around a central stone altar, carved by Henry Moore in travertine marble which stands on an elegant white marble floor surrounded by circular pews which are removable.
The main space can accommodate a number of event formats including product launch events, private events, team or client celebrations, corporate dinners, fashion shows and fundraising events. The Nave can facilitate up to 100 guests for a drinks reception followed by a seated dinner around the circular altar, up to 250 guests enjoying a standing drinks reception beneath Wren’s magnificent dome and up to 260 guests for a recital or concert with additional seating added.

Wedding Offers
Wedding ceremonies at St Stephen Walbrook typically take place on a Friday or Saturday, with a 4-hour access period, which includes time for the ceremony as well as allowing your suppliers time to set up and pack down. The pews that encircle the altar can accommodate up to 150 guests; an additional 260 guests can be accommodated for a ceremony by hiring in chairs from one of our approved furniture suppliers.
If a couple does not qualify for a Wedding Ceremony at St Stephen Walbrook, there is the option to have a wedding blessing. This means the couple will already be legally married and will have their marriage blessed by the priest in charge at St Stephen Walbrook.

Wedding parties of up to 150 guests can raise a glass to the happy couple under the magnificent Christopher Wren dome. Host your post ceremony reception for up to 1 hour after your ceremony before the happy couple and guests head to the wedding breakfast venue.
