Balfour St Bart's is a restaurant set in a traditional pub interior whose defining quality is a classic pub layout combining communal and private seating.
Design: The interior pairs high ceilings and chandeliers with polished wooden floors and a long service bar, forming a roomy, traditional-pub setting. The seating mixes long communal tables and smaller individual tables beneath tall windows and pendant lights that admit abundant natural light.
Features: The venue operates a smokehouse-style kitchen producing smoked meats and burgers alongside a full cocktail and spirits bar. The venue includes a PA system and speakers, a raised area suitable for live performance, a cleared dancefloor, allowance for own music, plus Wi‑Fi, air conditioning and wheelchair access.
Ideal for: Groups seeking a lively, social evening that combines seated dining, a full bar and live music are best suited to this venue.
What sets it apart: The venue offers seasonal English wine tasting flights drawn from its own Balfour Winery.
What guests say: The venue presents a characterful, well presented event space where the food receives repeated praise and where event planning support is described as smooth and helpful.

The food was amazing, staff fantastic and everyone had a brilliant day. The park across the street and the neighbouring Smithfield Market were good for those people that wanted fresh air. We LOVED the beef main course and the English sparkling wines, and we felt so well looked after by the staff - they really made us feel special.
Haste to turnaround the room after the meal resulted in 1 or 2 cards that we'd received being binned rather than saved. :(
