About this space

Yurt Café is a beautiful and unique space for receptions, parties, dinners, networking events, talks & seminars within 5 minutes of Bank and Canary Wharf. It also has an interesting outdoor space with gazebos and outdoor seating and plenty of wild flowers. It's the only Yurt cafe in London with a log fire.
The Cafe is a Social Enterprise run by Royal Foundation of St. Katharine. We wanted to create a space that was warm, fun and welcoming to people from all walks of life.

The Cafe recently won the Time Out #LoveLondon Best Cafe Award 2016 for Poplar, Shadwell & Wapping. We source our food locally where possible (we’re starting to grow vegetables in our gardens), pay our staff a living wage and aim to keep our menu affordable and any surpluses are reinvested into our work in the community.

Host rules

We require a minimum spend of £700.00 towards food and/or beverage consumption on the night.
Range of wine, beer and soft drinks are available by card/cash bar.
Hire fee varies from £500 (weekdays) to £800 (weekends) 18.00-22.30
Capacities are 60 standing, 35 for seated dinner indoor and much lager if you use outdoor seating.
We offer different menu options such as Canapes, Bowl Food, Party Food, Feasting Menus etc. All food needs to be pre-ordered.

Yurt Cafe is available to hire 7 days a week 6.00 pm to 10.30 pm.
Other times may be available upon request.

You are welcome to play your own music, we have a basic sound system available. You can also bring your own DJ.

Our Yurt Cafe is a unique space, the only Yurt cafe in London with a log fire. It is an exceptional venue for receptions, parties, dinners and networking events.
It's situated within 5 minutes of Bank and Canary Wharf. It also has an interesting outdoor space with seating, gazebos and wild flowers.

We are building connections with and across communities in Limehouse through conversation, reflection, community projects, art and food.
By holding your event with us, you are directly supporting the work we do in the community.
