About this space

The Mercury - with Bar is a semi-private bar area in Blame Gloria Covent Garden; it is defined by neon-lit theatrical underground décor.

Design: The space features low ceilings, arched corridors, patterned floor tiles, mirrored panels and metallic fringe beneath saturated LED lighting, producing a compact, theatrical club interior.

Features: The area includes a staffed bar serving cocktails, beer and wine, a PA system and speakers, and an open floor area suitable for dancing. The room is air-conditioned and provides venue Wi‑Fi.

Ideal for: Small social groups seeking a lively, sociable standing or mixed seated-and-standing gathering rather than a formal, seated event.

What sets it apart: Direct sightlines and a private doorway into the venue's live performance area allow groups to watch drag and brunch shows from a contained space.

What guests say: The space has an upbeat, party atmosphere and attentive staff who keep drinks flowing during brunch and entertainment sessions; performers and eclectic music are frequent highlights.

Christmas Party · 60 guests · January 2023

Service was excellent, as soon as we arrived Alberto showed us around our area and made sure we were happy with the details as it was a large party of people. The two members of bar staff were also so lovely, hopefully they enjoyed our group as well! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the venue was a perfect fit for us as some of our party didn't show

The only negatives were the food was not great, there was a lot of it but most of the party let me know that the bits were dry/bland which was a shame. Also the music was SO GOOD at the end of the night, it would have been nice to have some more 00s/10s music at the start of the evening too

They were very quick and efficient to clear the back area when I arrived and made sure everyone in the section was part of my party. The bouncers were also very friendly and looked after us!
