Entire Venue at The Nellie Dean
About this space
The Nellie Dean is an old-school corner pub with plenty of character and none of the polish of a chain bar.
Design: Exposed brick, dark timber floors and grey panelling set the tone in a snug, traditional room. Pendant lights, framed menus and a few houseplants finish it off without making it feel staged.
Features: Bar staff are on hand to pour draught ales alongside the usual wines and spirits. Seating is a mix of banquettes, stools and small tables, so groups can spread out or cluster as they like. Upstairs, a separate dining room is set up for sit-down meals.
Ideal for: Groups who want a relaxed get-together with room to move between the bar and the tables.
What sets it apart: You get two events in one building – lively pub drinks downstairs and a quieter, seated dinner upstairs, away from the bar.
What guests say: Guests describe it as a friendly local with real character – the kind of place that feels like your neighbourhood pub, even in the middle of Soho.
