Respect & Behaviour
•⁠ ⁠Treat the space, staff and other guests with respect at all times.
•⁠ ⁠Abusive, aggressive or anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in the event being ended without refund.
•⁠ ⁠Guests are responsible for the conduct of everyone in their party.

Noise & Neighbours
•⁠ ⁠We operate in a residential and business area. Please keep noise to a reasonable level, especially after 9pm.
•⁠ ⁠Amplified music and DJ sets must end by [TIME] and the rooftop cleared by [TIME].
•⁠ ⁠Keep voices down when arriving and leaving late in the evening.

Safety
•⁠ ⁠Do not sit, stand, lean or climb on railings, ledges, walls or furniture.
•⁠ ⁠Do not throw or drop any items from the rooftop under any circumstances.
•⁠ ⁠Follow all instructions from Encode staff and security immediately.
•⁠ ⁠Fire exits and walkways must be kept clear at all times.

•⁠ ⁠Encode reserves the right to refuse service to anyone deemed intoxicated.
•⁠ ⁠No outside alcohol may be brought onto the rooftop.
•⁠ ⁠Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated areas.
•⁠ ⁠No illegal substances of any kind. Breach will result in immediate removal and may involve the police.

The Space
•⁠ ⁠Please help us look after the rooftop. Any damage to the space, furniture or equipment will be charged to the hirer.
•⁠ ⁠Decorations must be agreed in advance. No confetti, glitter or anything that cannot be easily cleared.
•⁠ ⁠Guests must not access any areas of the building outside the booked space.

•⁠ ⁠The rooftop is a partly open-air space. In the event of severe weather, Encode may move the event indoors or adjust arrangements for safety.

The location
Not set us for a business meeting. A large coding event in the building on the day of the meeting - they couldn’t find the booking but eventually did. Lots of loud voices, traffic, people looking through the glass for ages to see if we may move so they could use the space, knocking on the door during the meeting to see if they could borrow a chair. Couldn’t find the encore staff member easily (only one guy who claimed to be junior on duty). And worst, a filming camera I discovered half way though a confidential meeting. Would not recommend.
