To keep our rooftop safe and enjoyable for everyone, all guests and hirers agree to the following when booking the space.
Respect & Behaviour
• Treat the space, staff and other guests with respect at all times.
• Abusive, aggressive or anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in the event being ended without refund.
• Guests are responsible for the conduct of everyone in their party.
Noise & Neighbours
• We operate in a residential and business area. Please keep noise to a reasonable level, especially after 9pm.
• Amplified music and DJ sets must end by [TIME] and the rooftop cleared by [TIME].
• Keep voices down when arriving and leaving late in the evening.
Safety
• Do not sit, stand, lean or climb on railings, ledges, walls or furniture.
• Do not throw or drop any items from the rooftop under any circumstances.
• Follow all instructions from Encode staff and security immediately.
• Fire exits and walkways must be kept clear at all times.
• Encode reserves the right to refuse service to anyone deemed intoxicated.
• No outside alcohol may be brought onto the rooftop.
• Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated areas.
• No illegal substances of any kind. Breach will result in immediate removal and may involve the police.
The Space
• Please help us look after the rooftop. Any damage to the space, furniture or equipment will be charged to the hirer.
• Decorations must be agreed in advance. No confetti, glitter or anything that cannot be easily cleared.
• Guests must not access any areas of the building outside the booked space.
Weather
• The rooftop is a partly open-air space. In the event of severe weather, Encode may move the event indoors or adjust arrangements for safety.
Liability
• Guests use the rooftop at their own risk.
• Encode accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings.
