Very easy to set up and there were no issues with the booking. The space was perfect for the event. Zac and Caroline were the most accommodating, would definitely book this venue again!
The music wasn't as loud as I would've liked it!
Zac was great in supporting me to book the venue by being quick to respond and patient with all my questions. The venue had a warm and inviting atmosphere, cute rustic decor meaning minimal decoration was needed and even a cute and clean bathroom for a quick photoshoot with the squad. In house dj had the whole place on their feet, the team were really friendly and helpful from the get go really reducing stress for me and giving their ideas on ideal set up. The venue is easy to get to (if trains are running) and not difficult to unload items. Would definitely hire again and would go back for a casual after work night out too
the tables and chairs are pushed to the back of the room rather than being removed which reduces space for set up and not as aesthetically pleasing unless covering with linens. There were long waits at the bar which may have been due to short staffing and communication issues in handovers causing overspend on my requested limit of bar tab and delays to drinks reception. The catering options to have a minimum of 2 boards per item made it challenging to accommodate a range of dietary requirements for a large group in a budget friendly way. The speakers arent very loud so consider this if having your own dj on a night where the venue already has one on site as there may be sound clash
Both Zac and Marlene were fantastic to deal with. Great communication throughout, always available to answer any questions and made the whole process really easy and stress free. Marlene was very organised and attentive on the night, as were all the staff at the Alice House, Queen’s Park. She was there to help me arrange the room and popped in throughout the night to make sure we had everything we needed and was very flexible with the drink and food timings. It’s a great venue and was perfect for our event. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.
I had my graduation party here and it was absolutely fantastic. The venue was beautiful and very spacious for 50 guests to dance, drink and eat! The service was incredible too, I was able to contact the manager on the days leading up to the event to make changes to the food and drink and it was always handled efficiently and friendly! The team on the day was also super helpful and welcoming towards me and my guests. They really made my dream party come true and have given me and my guests wonderful memories here.
The Alice House is a modern gastro bar with an intimate & homely feel. It’s a venue that lends itself to local family led events from birthdays & engagements but is equally suited to the office summer party.
With a private room with space for 70 standing or you can take over the whole venue for parties of up to 250 and indulge in great locally sourced, seasonal party foods alongside a great selection of gins & craft beers.
