Located moments from Trafalgar Square, the RWS Gallery is a contemporary two-floor art gallery available for exclusive hire in the heart of central London. Designed by WilkinsonEyre, the venue combines a modern architectural interior with a listed historic façade, offering a distinctive setting for corporate and PR events, brand activations, exhibitions and creative experiences.
Hire includes exclusive use of the whole venue, accommodating up to 150 guests across flexible, light-filled spaces that can be experienced either within a current exhibition or as a refined blank canvas environment.
The RWS Gallery comprises exhibition spaces across two floors on ground and lower ground levels. The ground floor gallery is a bright and contemporary space with a street level entrance and views across to The National Gallery. A contemporary silestone reception area with open shelving provides and focal point for visitors and guests. The gallery continues on the lower ground level which is accessed via the staircase or lift. Guests are met with a light-filled gallery comprising two vaulted spaces with floating walls. The venue is served with museum-quality lighting and air conditioning throughout.
The Royal Watercolour Society also offers curated, artist-led creative experiences that can be incorporated into your event. Hosted by professional artists, these sessions provide engaging, memorable, and bespoke activities for corporate groups, client entertaining, or private gatherings.

Host rules
- The Gallery is designated as a ‘no smoking’ area and the Hirer shall use all reasonable endeavours to enforce this policy during the Event.
- Any damage to the space will result in an extra charge and/or deductions from the security deposit
- Serving of red wine is not permitted
- The Hirer shall be responsible for the insurance of its own personnel and property against all risks and the minimum limit insurance cover for public liability should be £5,000,000.
- The Hirer must declare whether the Event is intended to be private or public in advance booking the venue.
- The Hirer shall not bring any petrol, petroleum (or similar spirit), illicit or illegal substances on or into the Gallery.
- The Hirer shall be responsible for maintaining the proper order and conduct of all guests attending the Event. The RWS Gallery reserves the right to remove any person attending the Event from the RWS Gallery if in its opinion they are not behaving in an acceptable manner.
- Events involving invitations to Royalty, senior Members of Parliament, celebrities or anyone else who may require additional security because of public or press interest must also be advised to the RWS at the time of booking. The RWS will at its discretion insist on the levels of security staff to be appointed directly by the Hirer.
- The Hirer may appoint their own suppliers for catering, production, equipment hire, and other event services. All suppliers must be approved by the RWS in writing in advance and must comply with the Gallery’s operational and safety requirements.
- All external suppliers must provide the following documentation:
(i) Public Liability Insurance with a minimum cover of £5,000,000
(ii) Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS)
(iii) PAT certification for any electrical equipment brought onto the premises
(iv) Full supplier company details and the name and contact details of the lead on-site representative
Cancellation policy: Standard 60 day with Grace Period
