About this space

Space is a Gallery in the Science Museum that presents original spaceflight artefacts and large-scale spacecraft in a museum display setting.

Design: The gallery uses a dark, theatre-like interior to emphasise exhibits under directional spotlights. The space has high ceilings, polished stone flooring and freestanding display plinths that create clear sightlines and circulation routes.

Features: Wheelchair access and a step-free guest entrance are provided, along with accessible toilets and climate control. Onsite Wi‑Fi is available and external DJs may be brought in under venue rules. The gallery contains roped display areas and interpretive panels beside exhibits.

Ideal for: The gallery suits small to mid-sized groups seeking a relaxed, educational standing reception or a guided walk-through format.

What guests say: The Space gallery is well curated and engaging, and its displays and interactive elements are consistently described as informative and fascinating.
