About this space

Room 32 is a Banqueting Hall in The National Gallery, defined by walls hung with large historical oil paintings and an ornate, coffered ceiling.

Design: The room features high, decorated barrel‑vaulted ceilings with painted coffers and tall cornices. The finish includes polished timber floors, deep‑coloured wall treatments and formal proportions that emphasise length and vertical space.

Features: The room includes a PA system and speakers, on-site Wi‑Fi and air conditioning. The space is wheelchair accessible and served by accessible toilets.

Ideal for: Hosts organising formal, seated dinners or composed standing receptions that favour a linear table layout and polished, architectural surroundings.

What guests say: Room 32 retains an elegant, museum‑quality atmosphere and provides quieter moments compared with the busier main galleries.
