Diespeker Wharf - Pollard Thomas Edwards

Set on a unique triangular site at the meeting point of Regent's Canal and City Road Basin, Diespeker Wharf is a characterful Victorian waterside building in the heart of Islington. Originally constructed between 1896 and 1914 as a timber yard and later home to the renowned terrazzo manufacturer Diespeker, the building retains many of its industrial features, including its striking brick façade, tall chimney, historic crane and remnants of the old railway track that once transported materials from canal barges.

Pollard Thomas Edwards restored and converted the listed building into its headquarters in 1994, sensitively blending historic character with contemporary design. A major refurbishment in 2022 created a spacious, accessible and flexible workplace, with interiors inspired by the building's terrazzo-making heritage. Today, the building offers over 20,000 sq ft of distinctive workspace, meeting rooms and event facilities.

The venue combines exposed brickwork, cast-iron columns, generous natural light and modern amenities, making it an attractive setting for meetings, workshops, presentations, networking events, receptions and filming. Facilities include high-speed Wi-Fi, presentation equipment, kitchen and catering facilities, accessible event spaces and a range of meeting rooms that can accommodate everything from small board meetings to larger gatherings of up to 150 guests.
