George and Vulture is a grade II listed building, dating back to 1175, when it was known as an inn called "The George". Located in an alley off Lombard Street, it stands out with its distinct historic atmosphere.

During the early 18th century, the venue served as a meeting place for the Hellfire Club. It was also a drinking spot, frequently visited by Charles Dickens, who mentioned it in his novel The Pickwick Papers several times.

Today, George and Vulture functions as a Chop House restaurant famous for the best chops and steaks, offering drinks and cold platters in the evening as well.
