I do not recommend this studio at all. I’m writing this review because I wish someone had warned me before I booked it. The information on their website is misleading. In the FAQ, it says that an engineer is included in the studio rate, but in reality, the engineer has to be paid separately. No one sent me the parking details in advance. We spent around an hour just trying to figure out where to park. The engineer only sent us the parking information after about 30 minutes of our booked session had already passed. They also do not really have parking. The parking they refer you to is across the street, and the people there were extremely rude. The studio told us parking would be $5 or $10, but we were charged $20 per car. We paid $40 total for two cars, and no one cared that we were there for the studio. The entire studio smelled like cigarette smoke. The microphones smelled like cigarette smoke, the room smelled like cigarette smoke, and after the session, even my clothes smelled like smoke. The area around the studio felt unsafe, and the studio itself looked very strange. The door next to the studio also looked suspicious and made the whole place feel even more uncomfortable. Overall, this was an extremely stressful experience, and that is the last thing you need before a recording session. If I had read a review like this before booking, I would have been very grateful. I would strongly suggest looking for a completely different studio.
