Welcome to our beautiful daylight studio!
We just moved to our NEW location!!
We offer a 40-foot long set of window on the ground floor of a beautiful building in East Williamsburg.
Beautiful sunlight bathes the space whether it's cloudy or sunny.
We are perfect for mode castings and digitals, headshots, product photography, fashion shoots, portrait shoots, video shoots, commercials, short and feature films and birthday shoots, among others. Daylight or artificial light.
We have 20 colors of 9 foot seamless available through our beautifully displayed seamless wall; each pull is $20. Set-up is $10 and must be included via the add-ons to be done before your shoot.
We do not do setups at the last second; we do not purchase or retrieve additional colors on the day of a shoot either. If you are interested in a specific color, let us know in advance.
Overtime is time and a half
Our grip is free: that includes all c-stands, stands, silks, extension cords and apple boxes.
Lights are just $5 each but all modifiers and accessories are free:

Our space is situated just a 5-minute walk from the Grand street stop on the L train and thus close to many restaurants, bars and shops in the East Williamsburg/Bushwick area.

Allowed events
Host rules
You're allowed to arrive only 15 minutes early to set up, no earlier.
No smoking in the building.
Pets are not allowed.
All ages are allowed in the space.
Furniture and decorations may be moved. Only the large table and storage racks cannot be moved. All the plants and chairs can be moved.
Smoke machines are allowed.
Nudity is allowed.
Production insurance is not required.
Cancellation policy: Standard 30 day with Grace Period
About Matka LLC: LUSTRO
MATKA was founded in 2018 in a DIY loft space in Bushwick. We started with hosting our friends and small clients for shoots and film nights.
The MATKA team envisioned an inclusive space that welcomed all skill levels of photographers and artists. We have grown into three spaces, each with an assortment of beautiful plants and trees.
MATKA has hosted a diverse range of clients and events, from ad campaigns to branded content to music videos to meditation sessions to bridal showers and proposals to trade for portfolio shoots.
Clients include Vogue India, Sol de Janeiro, Etsy, Out Magazine, CBS News, Rifle Paper Company, Tushy, Dagne Dover, Makari, Otis, Teen Vogue, VitaCoco, MisterWives, Ariana Bohling, Crabtree & Evelyn, among others.
Our staff of assistants can bring you from the lobby into our studio and help you get started, or we can do a contactless check-in.
