Stage 4 – Blackout Cyc Stage at Hubble Studio

About this space

Stage 4 at Hubble Studio is a 5,200+ sq ft blackout soundstage with a built-in white cyc in Downtown Los Angeles, just outside the Arts District. Black sound-blanket walls, a seamless corner cyclorama under its own pipe grid, 600 amps of power, polished concrete floors, a roll-up door for drive-in load-in and on-site parking, all in one room. Our largest stage, built for film, commercials, music videos, fashion and large-scale photo shoots, and private events.

NOTE: The published rate is for photo shoots only. Filming is $3,990 per 12-hour day. A $300 sanitation fee applies to all bookings.

THE STAGE
Two looks in one room. The main floor is a true blackout stage: black sound blankets wrap the walls and the trusses and ductwork are painted out. At the far end, a seamless white corner cyc sits under a pipe grid loaded with fixtures for even fill, so a crew can shoot clean white and full dark in the same day without moving. The polished concrete floor runs wide and uninterrupted from the loading door to the cyc, with room for dollies, cranes, vehicles and set builds.

POWER, LOAD-IN AND PARKING
600 amps of production power with dedicated panels and a distro box for tie-in. Full-height roll-up door for drive-in load-in of vehicles and set pieces. On-site parking for up to 10 cars and a Bose sound system for playback.

HAIR, MAKEUP, OFFICE AND LOUNGE
A hair and makeup room with two lit vanity mirrors, director's chairs, a TV for the live feed from set, clothing racks, a steamer and an iron. A private daylight production office upstairs with a meeting table and a door that closes. A leather Chesterfield client lounge on the floor facing the cyc, and private restrooms in black subway tile.
