About this space

Amami is a Japanese restaurant whose defining quality is an intimate, timber-lined interior that frames dining and socialising in low, focused light.

Design: The interior pairs dark timber panelling, exposed beams and brick accents with low-hanging pendant lamps. The floorplan is narrow and intimate, arranged around banquettes and long communal wooden tables beneath exposed ceiling joists.

Features: The space provides Wi‑Fi, air conditioning and natural daylight and includes a PA system with speakers. The venue allows own music and external DJs and has step‑free access, wheelchair‑accessible toilets and an accessible guest entrance.

Ideal for: Groups seeking an intimate, social evening of seated dining or a relaxed standing reception.

What sets it apart: A focused craft cocktail programme served from a long counter bar supports tasting flights and whiskey flights alongside the kitchen's menu.

What guests say: The kitchen produces consistently fresh sushi and shellfish and delivers plates promptly. The bar is known for expertly made cocktails and whiskey flights, and the service is friendly and attentive.
