The Cantina at Cicchetti
About this space
The Cantina is our private dining room, one floor below the restaurant. An Italian cellar in the old sense, where the wine lives: one long table runs its length, bottles shelved along one wall, art on the other, lit low and warm.
It is fully enclosed rather than partitioned, so your group has the room entirely to itself while the restaurant continues its normal service upstairs. Guests reach it through the main dining room.
Seats 12 comfortably and up to 18 around the single table. The room has its own sound system, separate from the main floor, and a projector, which makes it as suited to a book launch, a product presentation or a film screening as to a birthday dinner.
Well suited to birthday dinners, private dinners, engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, anniversaries, baby and bridal showers, corporate dinners, team meetings, book clubs, product launches and film screenings.
Food is family style or individually plated, built around our menu and adjusted to your group, with drinks from our full bar. A live jazz set can be arranged through our artist in residence. We work with dietary restrictions as a matter of course.
Cicchetti is at 185 Howard Avenue in Bed-Stuy, a short walk from the Utica Avenue A and C station.

Host rules
- No smoking anywhere in the building
- Outside food is not permitted, with the exception of celebration cakes
- Up to two outside bottles of wine per party, subject to a corkage fee
- Final guest numbers are due 72 hours before the event
- Decorations are welcome, but nothing adhesive, nailed or pinned to the walls, and no confetti, glitter or open flame other than candles we provide
- Music and sound levels are managed by our team, since the restaurant is in service above
- Damage to the space or its contents will be charged
- We reserve the right to refuse service to intoxicated guests, in line with New York State law
