The Ballroom at The Red Lion, Leytonstone

Hall in a Pub

Private space

About this space

The Ballroom is a function room in The Red Lion pub that retains strong period character.

Design: The room presents dark-painted walls, exposed brick accents and tall arched windows topped by stained glass. The space pairs upholstered sofas and armchairs with Persian-style rugs and a central chandelier over polished timber floorboards.

Features: The room has a small staffed bar for on-site drinks service. The space provides Wi‑Fi, air conditioning and abundant natural light from the tall windows. The room allows guest music and external DJs subject to a noise restriction, and it offers step-free access, wheelchair-accessible circulation and accessible toilets.

Ideal for: Local community groups and small social gatherings seeking a relaxed, social evening that combines seated dining and mixed standing reception.

What sets it apart: A built-in PA and a layout suited to live performance make the room especially well set up for bands and amplified music.

What guests say: The space has a welcoming neighbourhood-pub atmosphere and a warm, characterful feel. The Ballroom benefits from attentive on-site staff who support events and ensure a comfortable environment.
