The Screen on the Green in Islington is one of the country’s oldest cinemas: it opened in 1913 and has been a single-screen cinema ever since.
The cinema has retained its iconic neon sign and gained a bar. A mix of standard and premier seats are available (the latter being ‘luxurious sofas with footrests’), with waiters on hand to serve you pizzas, sharing platters and traditional movie snacks at your seat. Directors regularly attend the cinema for introductions and Q&As.
