About this space

Studio, a theatre studio in the Bush Theatre, an intimate black-box performance space defined by a high ceiling and adaptable staging arrangements.

Design: The studio pairs exposed brick lower walls with pale vertical panelling and tall proportions that keep sightlines open. The ceiling is finished in black to conceal services and create a neutral backdrop for lighting and set pieces.

Features: The studio includes a PA system and speaker setup and permits hirers to play their own music. The space provides venue Wi‑Fi, natural daylight from high windows, step‑free access and wheelchair‑accessible toilets. The floor area supports movable seating banks and centre‑stage or in‑the‑round seating configurations.

Ideal for: Small creative companies and production teams staging intimate, flexible-format performances, rehearsals or readings that prioritise close audience interaction.

What guests say: The studio is intimate and supports close audience engagement. The studio provides good sightlines from multiple seating positions.
