About this space

John Lyons Space is a performance-ready event room in the Kiln Theatre defined by its adaptable open-plan layout.

Design: The room features tall ceilings, a dark timber floor and simple lounge seating beneath festoon lighting, creating an uncluttered interior. The high, plain walls keep sightlines open across the central floor.

Features: A PA system and speakers are installed, and the room permits own music and bringing a DJ subject to noise restrictions. The space includes Wi‑Fi, air conditioning and natural daylight, and an open hard‑floor area suitable for dancing. Accessible features include step‑free guest entry and accessible toilets.

Ideal for: Creative or community groups seeking a relaxed, social gathering or a small performance in a flexible, performance‑style room.

What sets it apart: A continuous gallery of large production photographs lines the walls, giving the room a direct theatrical identity.
