About this space

The Royal Air Force Museum is a museum venue housed in hangar-scale exhibition halls; its defining quality is the large, high-ceilinged spaces built to display substantial objects and exhibits.

Design: The interior shows high exposed steel trusses above a broad open floorplate punctuated by freestanding display platforms and gallery cases. The finishes are polished concrete floors and industrial lighting, with bands of natural light crossing the halls.

Features: A PA system and speakers are installed, and the venue permits own music and external DJs. The space includes air conditioning, venue Wi‑Fi and a designated dancefloor area. The venue provides a step-free guest entrance, wheelchair access and accessible toilets.

Ideal for: Groups seeking a relaxed, social standing reception or a semi-formal seated dinner in a high-ceilinged, exhibition-style setting.
